Affiliated Instructors

We are excited to have the following Cobras affiliated instructors in our dugout. Cobras families - please refer to your email for information (or contact your coaches) to get in touch with our instructors for private lessons.

Zach Badgley



Pitching Instructor		Coach Badgley is a 2008 graduate of McHenry West High School.  He is also a graduate of Northern Illinois University where he was a 4 year letter winner and was a captain his junior and senior years (including being the captain of the 2013 NIU Conference championship team).  2023 will mark the 10th year for Coach Badgley in the McHenry Baseball program, and his 9th year as the Varsity Assistant. 

While in high school Coach Badgley was a 3 time All-Area selection, a 2 time All-State player, and a member of the 2007 Regional winning Warrior baseball team.  His family includes 11 siblings with 3 brothers who also played Division 1 baseball at NIU.

Randy Kaczmarski

Hitting Instructor		Coach Kaczmarski has been involved in baseball for decades, playing high school baseball at Gordon Tech in Chicago. He then went on to pay college ball first at a Junior College and then his final two years at Birmingham Southern College in Alabama.

Randy signed as a free agent with the Cubs organization in 1980 but injuries kept him from playing. The following year he signed with the San Diego Padres organization where he played for three years. During his time in San Diego he had the pleasure of playing with 7-time batting champion Tony Gwynn.
Cooper Cohn

Catching Instructor		Cooper is going to be a 4 year varsity starter this year for the McHenry Warriors. He is committed to the University of Illinois - Springfield to continue his baseball career as a catcher, where he will major in business.  He couldn’t be more excited to work with our catchers.
